Since 1953 Pilgrim Basset Hound Club has held its annual specialty show to showcase basset hounds to the New England fancier community.  This is an independent specialty show that has been held at a variety of locations throughout the region.

December Specialty Shows

In 1996 Pilgrim Basset Hound Club held its first December Specialty show.  This show is a designated specialty held during the Eastern Dog Club all-breed show as part of the Bay Colony Dog Show Cluster.  The cluster lasts for four days and is located at Bayside Exposition Center.  It is traditionally held on the second weekend of December and always has a holiday atmosphere.
